Gerard Depardieu and pianist. conductor. arranger Gérard Daguerre met in Précy. sur. Marne, at Barbara’s house, to record fourteen songs created by the “Dame en Noir". Depardieu has always proclaimed his devotion to the woman with whom he performed the musical piece Lily Passion in 1986, and Daguerre was Barbara’s music partner for seventeen years until her passing in 1997.
Gérard Daguerre wanted to make sure that “the path opened by Barbara continued and the adventure went on". In this spirit, he recorded an instrumental album and played it for Depardieu. The actor decided to sing two songs: ‘Nantes’ and ‘A Force de’, written by his son for Barbara. Depardieu knows Barbara’s repertoire by heart and, one thing leading to another, he recorded a full album to come out the 24th of February 2017. Fourteen songs marked by raw sensitivity and the magical surroundings of the small theatre of Précy.
