Review

Canadian born, London based multi-musicalist Rub (Michael Clark) now releases his second EP on Music For Freaks, following last year’s superb ‘I Was U’ EP. ‘Music For Lunatics’ is an absolute corker of a release featuring the following two gems: ‘Who Said That’, an electro-tinged, heart stopping, floor shaking, filthy, filthy slice of alien farmyard midget funk. Featuring the eerie, glitchy, extra terrestrial vocals of HisName and additional bass by Ding, ‘Who Said That’ has been lovingly soaked in purple, digital, sonic, sex-chocolate… truly outrageous! Whilst on the flip ‘Snee’ takes the party that little bit deeper and darker as we turn out the lights and funk ’til dawn. Regular funkateers such as DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Ralph Lawson, Mark Farina, and Kenny Hawkes have all pulled when playing this record.
