Lindstrom is back to plague us some more - in his case “plague” is spelled “pleasure” as fans of his previous unique releases on Bearfunk and Feedelity will readily admit. “drums of life” sounds as if recorded in a run down basement were every hit on the most worn-out drum kit ever makes cockroaches jump up and down the synthpads and squeeze out the funniest noises: a marvellous cosmic sleeze disco jam! “botswana beduin” is built on a loose afro-funk groove but of course heads into uncharted territory with euro-disco synth, string snippets that sound like the famous ones from “fly life” and a percussive vibraphone melody. flip over for the totally amazing journey that is “passkelyd” - a lazy dub scorcher that build up long enough to light on up in the sun taking in more and more slight disco attributes like floating balearic synth, strings and again vibraphone before a straight beat triggers your boogie muscle.
