Review

The Einmaleins family welcomes Mark-Henning - part English, part German, all techno. Throwing a Curveball with funked up minimalism, crazy effects and sounds which wobble more than Pamela Anderson’s cleavage when Tommy Lee`s giving her the jiggy stick. These tracks come with a guarantee to be ‘dark as fuck and seriously twisted or your money back’, actually they don’t but you get the idea. Bon apetite.

EINMALEINS011 in the media

Butane (Alphahouse): “Great sound design here, as usual from Mark. Both cuts are consistently finding their way into my sets. I prefer the darker "Curveball", but both tracks are tough. Really nice record! ”

Chris Duckenfield: “Really strong release in this style. Can play this”

DaveDave Martin (Technique, UK: “"Cruveball has been doing the business for me lately, workign really well on the dancefloor. Works at anytime on the dance-floor, very versatile. Keep it up, you funky mothers!”

DJ MAG (UK) 04.2006: “It sounds like there were more special effects used on ‘Curveball’ than on one of the ‘Matrix’ installments. Henning is approaching the minimal sound from a trippy perspective and, while these methods could sound disastrous in the wrong hands, his studio trickery transforms the dubby title track into a thing of squelchy, grinding excellence, with stuttering percussion and wave upon wave of electronic interference. It’s the same story on ‘Kartoffelsuppe Smackdown’, although the twitchy metallic beats and forceful electronic bassline mean that menacing intensity replaces playful weirdness as the chosen mood.”

Funk D´Void (Lars Sandberg): “goddam ass-shaking perfection. love it love love it. This is my kind of minimal, and I'm the harshest critic of the genre! 10/10 ”

Ivan Smagghe: “not as good as the sweet n'candy but this is a very good label.”

JOSH WINK (Ovum): “Like the Kartoffelzuppe Smackdown track the best of the two... Nice kick. Eerie stand out vocal along with effects. Will be trying this one out.”

karotte: “gute einmaleins. sehr solide. geht gut so zwischendurch.”
