Review

Boogie drama is back, thank goodness!this time on hamburg based label “was not was” known for high quality stuff during the last 3 years….but back to “dancing in the darkness” produced by italians supergroup boogie drama….first of all, this one will become a real great underground classic, i wager my gold teeth.deep and cryptic vocal samples are introducing this peaktime guaranteed and timeless tech-house smasher, nice melodies and very cool arranged drumworks pump this one to the max.if i close my eyes and starting the a side of this record again i can see all these crazy dancers and the girls with sexy hip wiggles, to be all smilies! on the flip side you will find a groovy and more minimal produced remix by donnacha costello, also the label owner of minimise records, wich will attract attentions as well.lele and sandiego, you guys did a real great job, this one is amazing, you got full marks for “dancing in the darkness"….when the cat’s away, the mice will play!!!

WNW011 in the media

David Duriez: “playing it. good track.”

DJ MAG (UK) 04.2006: “This Italian act impressed with ‘Boogie Drama’ and they follow a similar direction on ‘Dancing...’, which again yields devastating results. More slamming than a box full of Chicago classics and boasting a swarm of 303 sounds to rival Hardflooor, ‘Dancing’ also stands apart because it is driven by an intangibly spooky sensibility. Dublin producer Donnacha Costello makes this foreboding feeling the centre piece of his remix and, combined with his skeletal beats, creates a potent cockatil for dark rooms all over the world. Brophy, Richard”

Funk D´Void (Lars Sandberg): “very very catchy....almost to point that it won't go away!”

Ivan Smagghe: “nice break mix from donacha costello.”

James Flavour (Dirt Crew): “Very powerful electro house. Will play it!”

Jef K: “ciao lele !! nice tunes”
