Galaktika’s eight launch has been entrusted to the talent of a modern milestone: Graham Goodwin. Under the alias of SIAN, this Dubliner brought up in the south of Spain is a reference of the most versatile and pioneering electronica, testified by his maxis and lps for Poker Flat , Dessous, Dirt Crew and Karmarouge. Devils Gardel Ep is a synthesis of the atmosphere in today’s clubs; it is an answer to the demand in quality, innovation and fun on the dancefloor. The opening track is an impeccable blend of danceable groove, crunchy ambience and hypnotic melodies perfect for the dancefloor. Its tracks and sounds crystallize in a mix that combines rhythmic elements with surprising sounds, subtle and almost abstract. Minimal theory in pure state. Phantom On the B-side exploits the most moved and incisive facet of Sian. A line of imposing base marks the compass, rhythm and soul of the song, whilst the synthesizers persist in minimal and repetitive melodies. Devils Garden also gets a remix by Oriol Benedet, a virtuoso of the studio, and Maurice Aymard –Moe for his friends-, head figure and founder of Galaktika Records. Even if it is Moe’s first time as producer, his taste and experience in this business allow him to make, together with this artist, a remix that he experiments with the most stimulant parts of Devils Garden. Without loosing a tiny bit of the original’s rhythm, the duo investigates the deepest facet of the theme, endowing it with a sound structure based on the glitch of low tension, the melodic phrases and the most ethereal particles. |

” BIGSHOT MAGAZINE (US): “ Performing with the likes of Steve Bug, Martini Bros and Ricardo Villalobos, this revolutionary is helping define modern day club music. Combining rhythmic elements of low-end rumble, with surprising sounds and corrosive themes, the theory here is explosive purity. The backside carries a much more hypnotic vibe, with staggered 303 stabs and blanketed string pads, the heavily intoxicated club attendee is in for a trip. ” Chloe: “yes for the A side, very good.” Dan Garnica: “I like most B side... two tracks are deep and I’ll be mixing it for sure!!! ” Geoffroy Mugwump: “very good original from sian...” Jaumetic:: “El remix está muy muy bien, se nota que lo habéis hecho entre dos personas, hay confluencia de estilos. ” Karotte: “A seite ist der hammer. klasse für morgens. i like it.” Laurent Garnier: “lovely deepness will definitely fit my sets very well Will play ” Martinez: “November chart ” Miguel Tutera (Toys for Boys,: “I Love all tracks here, as much the original ones as the remix by Maurice Aymard/Oriol Benedet, (Maurice, Label Boss Galaktika) are amazing! . You must have this!” Pablo Bolivar: “I really like this record, it is one of my favorites releases in galaktika..I think my favorite its devils garden, near carl craig tunes but harder! Perfect to hypnotise! ” Philip Sherburne (earplug.com,: “Dopeness! The title track is fantastic, a full-on ravy number that's groovy but a little bit punshing as well, offsetting deep filtered chords with huge stabs and gritty squeaks. Well done.” |
