A Los Angeles native now residing in San Francisco, russian-blooded Alland Byallo has broken into the house scene with his own unique blend of tech funk. Alland’s taste, coupled with his research and digging, always instills an undeniable groove and tickles the chin-scratching trainspotting senses - as on his much acclaimed “Buckets” on Liebe/Detail or his remix for Claude von Stroke’s Dirtybird. The current “Dark Tide Disco” is a superb rolling club track which keeps a deep feel! Turn to the flip for the Dapayk Remix offering more reduced beats and sounds. More Floppy Funkers to come! |
FLOPPY010 in the media |
Anja Schneider (Mobilee Rec.): “really sexy floppy funk ! love the dapayk mix . ” Chloe: “the Dapayk is good, i play it” Chris Duckenfield: “Big club track from Alland I'd play this in a minute if the Vocoder vocal didn't make me want to smash up my mixer with a mallet The kids'll love it though” funkd\'void: “original rocks!” Jeff Milligan: “loving the original!” Philip Sherburne: “yeah! my (former) citymate alland byallo is totally killing it lately. both sides here are winners -- dark, funky, focused, good-natured. the speak'n'spell voice, for once, doesn't sound like a cliche, and the rhodes is a nice touch. dapayk sounds like he's losing his mind (quietly!) on his mix, with everything gone wobbly and a sort of 2-step rhythm offsetting the seasick keys. nice work.” Troy Pierce (Minus, Underline): “dapayk remix is killer” |
