GROOVE CHARTS # 4!!! Amazing feedback and support by Richie Hawtin, Charles Siegling, Chez Damier, Damian Lazarus, Jimpster, Gilbr,John Tejada, Peter Kruder, Will Saul. Huge Labelstart for Goldmann´s first own imprint! His “Sleepy Hollow” on Innervisions is regarded as the anthem of 2006, gaining respect from all over the place. This year Stefan Goldmann is back with his own label Macro and the next level of post-minimal modernism: “Aurora” and “Beluga". Both already are a central part in the sets of Richie Hawtin, Âme, Luciano, Damian Lazarus, Loco Dice, Steve Bug, Peter Kruder and the lucky few who already have it on CDr. Stefan has released through high profile labels like Innervisions, Perlon, Ovum and Classic. He recently also became one of Europe’s most in demand remixers with highly acclaimed reworks for Blackjoy, Marc Romboy, It and … coming up soon: DJ Gregory. So, Macro is destined to be a premier platform for both, Stefan’s genre-bending outings and the utmost in quality by likeminded artists. What a start…

MACROM01 in the media

James Flavour: “Great first release. Already in heavy rotation!”

Alan Brown (Soul Seduction, G-: “"Brilliant, for the floor but exercising the mind as well as the soul. Can't wait to drop these tracks on the radio as well as a few gigs, excellent."”

Alex Attias (Compost): “"I am totaly into it and will definitely play this in my set and also promote on my radio show for sure. Full support. Very good beginning on your label guys." ”

Argy (Pokerflat): “"Both sides are strong but Beluga is the Bomb for me. What a good start."”

Charles Siegling (Technasia): “"The A side 'Aurora' does it best for me. Nice mood and feel to the track."”

Chez Damier (Prescription, KMS: “ "Very, very, very nice vibe. I enjoy your music. I wish you well this year. Keep up the good vibes." ”

Chris Duckenfield: “Great tune I bought it last week Where the fuck was my free one, huh ? Huh ?”

Colin Dale: “"I want to say you have a phenomenal release for your debut single. I've been playing it non stop since I received it yesterday…..it's a work of art. I'm a big fan of Stefan. Easily my favourite producer out there at the moment and I think the future holds special things for him. I've already charted the single in at number one in my forth-coming chart……what more can I say but simply excellent." ”

Damian Lazarus (Crosstownrebel: “ "Both tracks sound brilliant."”

David Duriez: “as usual quality stuff from Stephan. playing it. great tracks”

Earplug Mag (USA): “ "Beluga" #1 Earplug Faves Chart. ”

Erik Rug (Rex Paris):: “"I really like Macro 01. Its dope. A side got reminiscent sounds from Sleepy Hollow with a straight to the point swinging groove that is very efficient. I'm playing this for sure! Ace production. Great first release for Macro." ”

Gamall (Planet E, Demon Days N: “ "Will be charting both sides in new chart. Will include on upcoming radio shows too. Magnificent launch for new label from one of Berlin’s finest rising producers. Both sides are bold, brave, twisted dark movers – in the vein of much loved “Blood EP.” “Aurora” also has Millsian like overtones ... Essential EP – looking forward to hearing more from this label." ”

GilbR (Versatile, Chateau Flig: “ "Beluga is my fave. Twisted House music as I like to play. I like the the dramatic vibe of it! Excellent 1st release."”

Groove Magazin (05/06/2007): “Charts: #4”

DR”

Hipp-E (H-Foundation): “"Wicked!!! Cheers...love these tracks!!!"”

Jimpster (Freerange): “"Pretty dark stuff!! Proper futuristic electronic freaky shit. Will definitely put it in my chart for March."”

John Tejada (Palette):: “"Thank you so much for sending me the release. I enjoy Stefan's music and this one is really cool as well."”

Geile Nummer. I like it!!!"”

Kiko Navarro (Pacha – Ibiza): “ "Really like Aurora, it’s a crazy track with great sound treatment, kind of experimental but at the same time groovy... oh, and the breakdown at the end is a perfect soundtrack for a terror film!"”

Lee Smith: “Typically brilliant music from Goldmann. maybe a bit deep for some floors, but b1 ceratinly has enough tension and groove to work in more interesting sets. ”

Loco Dice (Cadenza, Minus, Ovu: “"Nice tracks!" ”

Marcus Worgull (Innervisions): “"Aurora is the one for me! Mental!" ”

Martin Landsky (Pokerflat): “"Beluga is super wicked, can't wait to play it!"”

Mazi (Audio Soul Project, NRK: “"Both tracks are really well put together. I will be playing and charting the whole record. Quality release!"”

Onur Ozer (Vakant): “"Really nice release! Especially the track Aurora is for me. ''Morning glory'' track Will try on people this weekend." ”

Paul Woolford (20:20 Vision, P: “"I particularly LOVE "Aurora" - especially the way it weaves into the ambient last 3 minutes - that section brings to mind some of Jeff Mills more esoteric material. Excellent stuff. I am currently putting together a compilation for Renaissance in the UK and I wondered if I could put this track forward to be included? Also "Beluga" is quality too, a fantastic debut release." ”

Perfecto."”

Philip Sherburne (XLR8R): “"Fantastic! I'm so impressed (not to mention a little jealous, I'd kill to make a track 1/10th as good as these!). "Beluga" is my fave of the two - it's really light and agile, but very deep and forceful at the same time. I love the sort of son clave pattern on the descending synth melody. This is a total jam, I can't wait to hear it out (and play it out!!). "Aurora" is also great - with a bit of Matt John's carnival spirit thrown in; I like how it sort of spirals off into jazzy chaos towards the end, too. Congrats - great work." ”

Richie Hawtin (Minus): “"Great for playing."”

Scarlett Etienne: “"Oh my god I love this track!!!!! Aurora is one of my favorites at the moment, it's very sexy. Been getting a great response from the ladies as well as it's one of those ones you can dance to in high heels Loads of lovely synthy tidbits in this one, nicely textured and rich."”

Steve Bug (Pokerflat): “"Like the B side track too. Keep on!"”

Stevie Fella Kotey (Chicken Li: “"Sounds really good. Both tracks are roc king love um !!"”

Terry Farley (Faith): “"Both tracks are fabulous - really digging all of Stefan's stuff."”

Tim Sweeney (DFA, Beats In Spa: “ "Really enjoying the "Beluga" track. Definitely planning to play that one on my radio show."”

Tom Clark: “solid record ! b1 is my favourite. depp funky and twisted.”

Undo (Loft Barcelona): “"Thx for the music. I like both songs and this 12" goes directly to my chart. I played Aurora this weekend and it really works on the dancefloor." ”

Will Saul (Simple): “"Both are great tracks. Stunning production and great melodic touches. I look forward to playing them out."”

Yoav B (Delsin): “"Thanks for sharing, very cool tracks! Good luck with the new label." ”
