Review

Pawel, also known for his melancholic and deeply emotional songwriter skills as Turner on ladomat and mute, follows his path of minimal post-detroit influenced tracks recently heard on his dial release “Ceramics". Having released 3 12″es on dial records as Pawel so far, “Jujuy&Salta” marks a step on new ground, by starting his own label. orphanear is meant to be a open playground for both the Pawel and Turner releases, as well as for old and new friends, not only in the dance-spectrum. Exciting forthcoming releases to hit the streets in 2007! “Jujuy” starts of with a slowed down, dark and bouncing synth line, and later on sound as if Sähkö had moved to Los Angeles and invited us all. “Salta” turns up the velocity slightly and deliberately evolves into one of the sweetest and hypnotic detroit affine tracks in the recent past.

ORPH01 in the media

Bigshot Mag (USA): “Adding a new label to the ever-changing techno world, this imprint is founded by Pawel, also know as Turner, and found on labels such as Mute and Ladomat. The sound is a bit slower and keeps a sunny laidback feel while adding a bit of a bouncy synth touch. Heavy on the Detroit style, dark chords and hypnotic rhythms make for a trip back to the past. Praxis”

Chloe: “that track " jujuy" rocks!”

Dj Koze (International Pony): “very nice and warm !!! i will play soon”

Laurent Garnier: “nice trippy tracks on both sides will play”
