„Life is the only drug i won’t ever give up“. This is probably the most life-affirming claim ever forwarded by Ware- Labelboss Matthias Schaffhäuser and it’s made to fit the party. And as he’s being the guest on a very special label he’s going all the way. Totally in accordance with the WIR-label-philosophy, the title track shows off lots of modern producing skills, never sticking to just one rigid idea but coming along with a whole bunch of attitudes. Pop-induced vocals are artfully woven into minimal beats, housy strokes meet sound concrète, and the whole combines to one neverending track, leaving the elitist style ghetto behind and delivering itself to the pulsating life outside, leading to a truly beautiful work Clearly that’s one hell of a challenge for every remixer, but lovable atom smahing Mathias Kaden is the right man at the right place, as he knows how to deal with emotional content under the influence of the contemporary raw. His eleven-minute-opus tightens, focalizes, piles and moves around the original material, but without betraying its spirit. This remix seems larger than life but still maddingly gripping and you get the overwhelming impression that here every angle leads to another, every bit communicating. It’s a nation under the groove, all in one track, and it’s here to be heard.

Debug (GER): “Sehr trocken für eine Wir beginnt die EP von Mathias Schaffhäuser mit einem pumpend krabbeligen Plastikmaschinenkonstrukt, das sich sehr langsam entwickelt und irgendwann mit einem gläsernen Klingeln in Harmonie zu landen scheint, dann aber die Effekte etwas zu sehr aufdreht und den Groove irgendwie fast aus der Spur drängt mit der Idee alles etwas zu voll zu packen, sich dann aber wieder sehr gut fängt. Das erinnert irgendwie auf obskurste Weise an Wild Pitch. Die Rückseite mit Acapella-Intro und dem detroitig deepen Mathias Kaden- Mix - wieder ziemlich deep in jazziger Percussion - gefällt mir auf Anhieb etwas besser, aber dennoch ist das alles zusammen eine sehr spannende EP. Minimalismus wird immer mehr zum Großraumkino. bleed•••••”
