CLP are Chris De Luca & Phon.O. As Funkstörung, Chris de Luca and partner Michael Fakesch released an uncountable amount of records on !K7(inc. 2 Albums), Compost Records, Musik aus Strom, Acid Planet and many more. Especially their remixes for Björk, Wu-Tang Clan, Speedy J and Plaid attracted worldwide attention. Phon.O released a number of 12 inches, EPs and two albums on labels such as Cytrax, Detroit Underground, Normoton, Tigerbeat6 and T.Raumschmiere¹s Shitkatapult. His last album ³Burn Down The Town², released in 2005 on Shitkatapult. After the sudden breakup of Funkstörung in 2006, there were still a couple of confirmed Funkstörung gigs left to play. De Luca didn¹t hesitate and asked Phon.o to fill in for Michael Fakesch. He was shocked. It was the first time he felt this kind of chemistry with a partner on stage! The infected fans felt the same way. Press play! They decided to produce music together and here we are with their first release on Boysnoize Records. “Ready Or Not” and “Ain’t Nobody Cooler” are unconventional combination of intergalactic hip hop, ghetto beats, sexy booty IDM and dirty techno goes beyond typical contemporary genre boundaries. Great remixes come from Diplo (Producer of Santagold, Bonde Do Role) and his buddy Dj Sega(Mad Decent) and Mixhell (Iggor Cavalera, SEPULTURA & Laima Leyton) who deliver fantastic reworks. Los geht es mit „Ready Or Not“ in einer geschickten Kombination von dominanten Hip Hop Vocals und basslastigem Ghetto Tech / Booty. Ein ähnliches Strickmuster kommt bei „Ain’t Nobody Cooler“ zum Einsatz, welches jedoch geradliniger auf den partytauglichen Technoviererfuß setzt. B-seitig bleiben beide Tracks als Bearbeitungen in gleicher Reihenfolge in Originalnähe. Zunächst duellieren sich Diplo vs. DJ Sega auf Remixebene und drosseln ein wenig die Betriebsamkeit. Der Mixhell - daran ist u.a. Ex-Sepultura-Mitglied Igor Cavalera beteiligt - Remix unterstreicht die künstlerische Offenheit. Mit diesen vier freizügigen Energiebündeln ist der Labelneuzugang gut in den Reihen von Boysnoize aufgehoben. ”
