Review

British staples Charles Webster and Swag contribute two dancefloor driven remixes of songs from the beautifully rich and downbeat debut album from Australian producer Peret Mako. With his interpretation of ‘Export’ Charles Webster expertly weaves the vocals of Tania Bowra into a sensual nugget of 4am bliss, tried and tested on the Future Classic dancefloor by Charles himself on his recent visit to Australian shores. The flip shows Swag in a bumpin’ and grindin’ state of mind with a jackin’ hip house groove, chunky drums and the deft musicality synonymous with their productions. ‘The Devils In The Detail’ album has won praise from media & djs alike with accolades coming in from allies such as Henrik Schwarz, Slope, Quarion, Dirk Rumpff … the usual suspects… for its deep musicality, layering and attention to detail. Future Classic are embracing the Pro Vinyl ideology of keeping the mp3 files offline until the vinyl see’s light of day, so watch this space for dj feedback.
