Two more brooding cuts await in the shifting shapes of ‚Madeleine‘ and ‚One Room‘, alongside a pushing, bouncing remix from Germany‘s own Gregor Tresher. Having already featured as a sneak preview on his own 2.0 mix, and teasingly mixed together on Steve Bug‘s Bugnology 3, the full version of ‚Madeleine‘ is now available. Its a cooly focused, dark, yet somehow sweet grind of the sort only Brooklyn‘s master of the black arts is capable. A tough percussive house grind slowly gives way to twisting wires and electro-acoustic energy as a strangely catchy theme is constructed from spooky broken stings and ghostly junked pianos - freaky yet decidedly fresh… With a little more light creeping in through the windows, ‚One Room‘ illustrates perfectly those special daybreak moments, where night stretches its rested limbs and rubs its tired eyes, slowly morphing into day. The mode is continuation here, as if Adultnapper has captured us at his own special after party, and this is the soundtrack. Its a complex, jacked and blissfully melodic jam that is indeed versatile, but cries out to be played at sunrise! Gregor Tresher has risen to notoriety of late thanks to his impeccable song-writing and arrangement skills set alongside big-room club mechanics. Releasing hits like ‚A Thousand Nights‘ on Great Stuff or ‚Panchakarma‘ alongside Monika Kruse under their GTMK guise on Intacto, the man simply knows how to work it! His remix of ‚One Room‘ holds nothing back, and transforms the original‘s gentler sentiments into a peak time, bouncing techno treat. El primero de los tracks en discordia no nos es desconocido. “Madeleine” ya vio la luz de la mano de Steve Bug en el tercer volumen de su “Bugnology”, publicado recientemente. El corte se nos presenta ahora en su versión “extended” como un corte pausadito que tiene mucho de house y que fundamenta el secreto de su éxito en su bonita melodía. Muchos lo situarían en una maleta para un after ibicenco, yo lo pincharía a cualquier hora de la noche, la verdad. Estamos pues ante, quizá, la mejor producción de Adultnapper hasta la fecha. “One Room”, peca más de tech house pero mantiene una impronta melódica que hace del corte un dj tool de primera fila. Aunque para herramienta de hacer sudar camisetas, el remix que el amigo Gregor Tresher entrega para la ocasión. “One Room” se transforma en techno de masas discotequeras sin demasiado chiste, y es una pena, puesto que el balance del maxi es de los más excitantes que hemos valorado últimamente de la mano de Audiomatique. DE:BUG: “Adultnapper war ja schon immer jemand, der aus der Hinterhand einen Überfall plant. Das funktioniert auf "Madeline", dem Namen entsprechend, auch wieder perfekt. Ein schleichend unmheimliche Housenummer mit grandios zurückhaltendem Bass, deren Zähne erst nach und nach aus den Ritzen blitzen und einen ständig in dieser eigentümlichen Stimmung aus Ehrfurcht halten. Die Rückseite "One Room" ist eher ein kurzes. nett plinckerndes Stück für die warmen Sommertage, in denen man faule Triolen mit einem Schmetterlingsnetz jagt, und einem erstaunlich zurückgenommenen Gregor Tresher Remix. Schon fast putzig, das.”
