As DJ and as live act, France’s Nhar certainly knows how to tweak the controls. He’s transmitting his message on every channel, sporting his personal recipe for dancefloor mayhem, consisting of driving beats, melancholic euphoria and some other ingredients meant to stay a secret. On diverse labels like Mobilee, Plak or Modelisme, the former member of the 22 Crew shines with his panoramic view, melodic depth of focus and concise footwork. That love has to be rewarded, so Kompakt’s Jörg Burger, a.k.a. the Modernist throws in one of his rare remixes for “Close Up", delivering that bonus punch and enhancing the original’s charm with the razor-sharp musical scale he’s become known for.
