A1 johannes heil “seeded” (motorcitysoul remix) b1 ernesto “wise” (motorcitysoul remix) b2 clara hill feat. atjazz “nowhere… I can go” (motorcitysoul remix) matthias vogt and christian “c-rock” rindermann form the deephouse syndicate motorcitysoul. after three albums on infracom and simple the two djs and producers present their first selection of remixes that have been released between 2004 and 2010. so far more than 30 artists or labels have asked for a motorcitysoul remix treatment since the duo joined forces in 2004, incl. artists like chez damier, ian pooley, abdullah ibrahim, brett johnson, solomun & stimming and johannes heil. labels like cocoon, dessous, freerange, liebedetail and junior boys own/defected have ordered the extra motorcitysoul polish. the unique motorcitysoul style is built on the combination of the studied jazz piano player matthias vogt and c-rock’s almost 20 years of experience in sound & production. the two really incorporate the flavour and sounds of the originals they’ve remixed and acchieve individual sound aesthetics for every remix they do. thus almost any track can be turned into a motorcitysoul remix… it can be “motorcitysouled". the a-side, “seeded” (motorcitysoul remix) is a johannes heil original, released digi only on cocoon recordings. stir15 makes this heavy house cut a vinyl exclusive. a banging motorcitysoul remix filled with detroit vibes all the way. b1 is ernesto’s “wise” (motorcitysoul remix) is a vinyl super exclusive (not on the cd). originally released as a digi nugget on jonathan backelie’s swedish rakkaus imprint, motorcitysoul delivers a deep house interpretation with a heavy synth breakdown that features ernesto’s beautiful and unique vocals. and finally on b2 motorcitysoul are diggin real deep with this remix for clara hill. it is a perfect ending for the album, plus a perfect bonus for this 12″ release, of course on vinyl for the very first time! stir15 … digging deeper since 1995!
