Stratus Energy is the culmination of a new era for Faze Action...

... and their love of music, the album will be released on their own  label FAR  which has been gaining recognition on the Disco scene .

Faze Action started out in the mid 90s quickly gaining recognition with their underground hit “In The Trees” (recently remixed by Carl Craig and released on Juno records) albums, Djing tours have since followed along with many memorable live shows.
However it is since they launched their new material on their own label FAR in 2007 that a new era began for Faze Action quickly gaining support from the likes of Lindstrom, Prince Thomas, Rub n, Tug Idjut boys , Jay shepheard, Dave Lee, and many more.
The Album They Came From Outta Space
Faze Action have put together one of the most exciting albums of the year. Playing to their strengths, the album fuses disco, balearica and a smattering of psychedelica. Faze Action effortlessly manage to combine theremins, moogs, ‘cello’s into their songs to create an album which is both a combination of space disco classics and down tempo cosmic wonders. Featuring the glossy vocals of Mary Moore with the ethereal, haunting tones of Tasita D’mour and Faze Action’s own Rob Lee.
From the opening intro you get a feeling that the eleven-track album is going somewhere positive. From the up-tempo “Good Lovin’”, the psychedelica of “Venus and Mars”,to  the kitsch disco of starship via the down tempo, Balearic “Danae’s Journey” to the infectious, string laden “I Wanna Dancer”, sounding like a lost disco classic with commercial appeal.
At the early stages the single “Good Lovin’” is already starting to build with plays on BBC radio and receiving heavy support from the disco community. This album is set to take you on an interplanetary journey.

The Future
Dance in outer space to Faze Action Live at Cargo on the 23rd Of May and other dates throughout the summer including  the Garden Festival in Croatia on 4th July or catch their Djing sets, feel free to board star ship Faze Action , welcome to the Federation.

Harbour Boat Trips with Trentemøller

Danish producer and DJ Anders Trentemøller is about to release his first mix-CD ever in May 2009! Stirring a buzz with a number of 12“es (mainly on Poker Flat Recordings), remixes (most recently „Wrong“ from the new Depeche Mode album) and most importantly his multiaward- winning debut artist-album „The Last Resort“ (2006) and the compilation „The Trentemøller Chronicles“ (2007) we‘ve been very curious about what to expect from his first mix-album and indeed the CD comes in as a very nice surprise. Entitled „Harbour Boat Trips - Copenhagen by Trentemøller“, the CD will be released on the new label HFN Music, and will feature a very intimate and emotional mix of some of the most beautiful music from four decades, as Trentemøller opens his secret musicbox for us. The idea behind the „Harbour Boat Trips“ series is to present special mixes by outstanding artists, inspired by the imagery and the connotations of harbours with all its distraction and disaccords, where wanderlust meets homesickness, where the time stands still and runs fast and where past, present and future melt into one special intimate moment. Trentemøller‘s mix melts dreamy neo folk and shoegazer songs with heart-wrenching female vocals such as the wonderful Emiliana Torrini‘s „Livesaver“ or Liz Harris‘ Grouper into the electro-induced Post-Rock of Nic Endo‘s remix of The Raveonettes‘ seductive „Aly, Walk With Me“ or „Ghost Rider“ from Alan Vega‘s unforgettable Suicide into the decadent „Fantômes“ by Khan which was recorded 25 years later! Sparkeled with odds, outtakes and Trentemøller‘s own edits, the mix features lots of tunes from Copenhagen, Denmark, but is not limited to that. You‘ll hear russian announcements, french whispers and simply beautiful music mixed into a very inspiring soundscape which you might want to take you away on your next Harbour Boat Trip. And if you ever wondered what‘s inspiring the musical mastermind of Anders Trentemøller - here you‘ll get an idea.

Aus Music...All Night Long

'Aus Music...All Night Long' as a title is not just a play on the timeless House Music All Night Long phrase, it also expresses the musical diversity of the label. From the live dub of Sideshow through to the layered, undulating techno of Sian via the heartwarming, richly textured grooves of Lee Jones our aim has always been that you can play Aus music from dusk till dawn… all night long.
So with this in mind we introduce a double album that aims to fondly remember the first 20 releases via A&R and co-founder (alongside Sideshow) Will Saul's DJ mix of the back catalogue (CD2) whilst looking forward to the next twenty with 13 totally new and exclusive tracks from the core roster, friends of the label and artists who we'll be working with in the future (CD 1).
CD 1 opens with the Sideshow's reworking of his collaboration with Cortney Tidwell before Roland Appel eases us into the realms of disco, his guitar licks and piano refrains carrying the torch of live instrumentation forward, before Sian, Shur-I-Kan and Brooks turn up the electronic dial whilst maintaining the disco groove. The mysterious Pearson Sound (a core member of the burgeoning dubstep meets techno scene, who for the time being wanted to remain anonymous) changes up the rhythm and brings his stripped back yet inherently soulful sound before Appleblim & Ramadanman present their first foray into the world of house. Full of space and power you can appreciate the production ethos that has brought them to the forefront of underground electronic music and it feels to us like a genuinely fresh take on house music. Martyn needs no introduction and his p-funk inspired melody and bassline provide another entirely fresh take on the deliciously broken rhythms we have come to love from him. We thought it only fitting that we should try and get a different take on Lee Jones's 'Aria' for the project, as it has been the most in demand single from the first 20 releases on Aus. Lawrence's reworking is typically sleek and graceful, and leads into the houseier section of the album. MyMy deliver one of their trademark melodic bomb's and Lee Jones gets uncharacteristically pumping (with all the character and fun we've come to love from him) whilst Will Saul & Tam Cooper bring the soul and melancholy li e only they can before Martyn signs off with a potent piece to pull at your heartstrings.
