This album is a love letter to teenage selves.

An ode to youthful memories from Scotland and the North East of England. We’re of the generation that saw the CJB force the raves from the fields into the clubs, we caught the tail end of the convoys soundtracked by cassette recordings of pirate radio stations from far-off London and beyond. Every week a new musical discovery, every mixtape a revelation. Losing friends in dark fields or corridors of strange warehouses, then finding them again in the strobe lit smoke of the dancefloor.

It's rave, and techno, and jungle, and trance, and house, and ambient...but none of it is quite straight forward; It’s all a bit hazy, timelines broken and lines blurred. We hope the memory connects with you, the way it does with us.

What a privilege it is to continue this series of reworks and remasters on Food Music and this time we’ve got "I’m Rushing” from Bump!! The original from 1992 was (and still is) one of the most infectious house records ever made, with it’s uplifting synth patterns and vocals filling the air with pure joy and happiness. In addition to a re-master on the well known original, the new reworks here bring “I’m Rushing” bang up to date in impeccable style. Chambray leads the charge with an uplifting new synth pattern and pounding drums which compliment the original so well. Theo Kottis steps up with a beautiful mix that adds an Italo twist to complete a killer reworks package. Don’t sleep on this one.

With all manner of DJs reaching for the original 1990 hit still to this day, we’ve remastered it exclusively to vinyl and brought you fully official reworks from today’s elite. Using original salvaged parts from the Xpansions vaults, we have remixes from Krystal Klear, Rebuke, and Loods who all bring a fresh take as we enter summer 2019. Krystal Klear heads up the mix package, taking us into electronic bliss with his sublimely fresh synth stabs and a huge breakdown that will tease all your senses. Rebuke’s massive techno twister is set for the big rooms too, with a new riff following the bassline melody, trippy vocal production, rolling percussion and his trademark crescendo’s. 3 of Shadow Child’s “Connected” collaboration album tracks get a makeover from Rimbaudian, MJ Cole and Bodhi. Rising talent Rimbaudian reworks the only solo track from the project, “Steak Fingers”, and takes the original bumping stripped back groove on a more melodic journey with its stunning arpeggios and new string parts. The backbone of the original remains but be prepared to take a trip to a new stratosphere, with his stripped version which is included too. Bodhi step up next to remix “Gacid”, twisting and turning the original acid patterns and grooves to make a special rework that gives a nod to early Detroit with new drum programming and pads. The Welsh duo bring the heat.
