Two brand new tracks by Art Of Tones with The Funk District on remix duty. Crazay sounds like the perfect radio tune AND a true dancefloor filler. Boogie disco-influenced House music with the usual AOT extras : fat bassline, funky beats and guitar riffs - and of course, drumfills ! "Not the same" is a great B side, a deep and melancholic disco track.
- Art Of Tones second release on his new label Palp
- Previous AOT release on Palp was a success with great sales numbers and many big djs feedbacks
- The Funk District is known for the quality of his EP's, remixes and re-edits.
- Artwork is very different from the usual electronic music artworks, and it's beautiful !
TRACKLISTS:
A1 - Crazy (Extended)
B1 - Not The Same
B1 - Crazay (The Funk District Remix)
B2 - Crazay (Short)

With a prolific output of such a consistently high standard many do not realise that Art Of Tones has never released a solo artist album, but with this new LP on Local Talk that is soon to change.
Investing blood, sweat and tears Art Of Tones has spent many hours on this debut album release, which is not just a selection of club tracks, but a storytelling piece of music where each track compliments the others.
The opening cut 'Prolegomenes' welcomes you into the project with jokes about sampling, showing a light-hearted attitude to the fact samples make up a large percentage of this warm and jazzy album.
After the enticing intro track comes the funk-filled and familiar style of house that Art Of Tones fans both love and respect, with upbeat melodies and infectious grooves it's fair to say this release is a real feel good mood lifter.
Part 2 of 'Unbalanced' continues where Part 1 left us.
More tracks influenced by gospel, funk, soul and jazz , making this album a melting pot of styles that with house music at its core, showcasing Art Of Tones to be one the most talented guys out there right now. Although it's primarily made with home listening in mind all the tracks on this album would also rock a dance floor! More

There's no stopping Ludovic Llorca! After having several successful releases out on labels like We Play House, Shadeleaf and House Of Disco, Art Of Tones returns to our beloved LT family with a second 12" 'The Rainbow Song' is the follow up to The Same Thing EP released back in 2013. If you've come across Art Of Tones before you know what's in store for you. The Rainbow Song got all the signatures of a great Art Of Tones track. It's uplifting, got a tight groove, a strong vocal hook and well crafted jazz-like rhodes chords, it's damn catchy! For remix duties we find one of Paris' finest purveyors of high quality underground electronic music, S3A aka Max Fader. Max showcases his deep seated love for disco and house and has created a version that celebrates both, while aiming straight for your hips. With just a few added elements he takes the track in a different but no less powerful direction.

We are proud to present you Art Of Tones's first EP for Lazy Days. AOT is the brainchild of Ludovic Llorca's, formerly known for his work as Llorca on F-Communications. As Art Of Tones, he released music on labels like 20:20 Vision and Room With A View while remixing countless artists like his great rework of Tortured Soul "You Found A Way" for our 5 Years of Lazy Days Album. This 4 track EP starts with the beautiful "Elephants", a very unique and musical dance floor treat. "Myself, My Body" goes a little darker with this gospel heavy track. Lastly, The Right Moment, brings down the tempo into a 70s influenced funk number. Also available on the digital release is the Dub of the title track "Elephants". Llorca is an old friend of the label and we're happy to have him as a part of the family.

The wave of love & applause surrounding Art of Tones this year has been phenomenal & well deserved. Long running stalwart of the global House scene for nearly 20 years, Ludovic Llorca has brought his work at the forefront with labels such as F Communications & 2020 Vision. In 2009, he lived an creative renaissance by uniting with Room with A View, finding with the guidance of Dairmount, a new genuine inspiration shelter. Several tracks started to appear on the label in the Perspectives serie and his first EP ” The World As I Live It” was released in march 2010 combining a huge critical & popular acclaim.
Literally everyone played tracks of the EP and it is still a firm favorite of many one year after. This spring, Art Of Tones contributed with “Too Much” to the 5th instalment of the Perspectives serie. This one became again one of the most played track of the summer according to Resident Advisor. Mr llorca has also been a very in demand remixer as witness recent additions to his already impressive remixography : Tortured soul on Fred Everything’s Lazy Days, TJ Kong on Compost, Evan Evans on The Revenge’s Instruments of Rapture, Marcos in Dub for Alma Soul, Mario Basanov for Under The Shade. He is also currently finishing his version of the next Toolroom big hit Punky Blaster’s Missin’. Llorca also freshly released "La debandade EP" as the follow-up to his big Ep of 2010.This brand new 3 tracker is a kind of tribute of Ludovic to the 90’s US House sound that inspired him to start to produce music in his early days. But instead of going for a superficial retro touch, he chosed to recreate the spirit in his very own way. For Real has been preciously kept out of the EP to be released ONLY ON VINYL as a genuine gift for vinyl lovers. Available here in 3 versions, this beauty will fits perfectly in the most classy dj sets.

Underground house heads will very much be familiar with this tune. It has been circulating as a white label owned only by the coolest and most connected cats and now Detroit badman Marcellus Pittman does the right thing and gives it an official pressing on his own Unirhythm label. A-side jam 'Pick Yourself Up' (feat Crystal Procedures) is dusty, loopy, trippy house with swirling vocals adding to the late night feel, then 'Ode 2 Juan' slows things down to smoky basement house vibes with melancholic pads bringing hints of light to the muggy atmosphere.

Franc Spangler & Hudson's Choice - Roots
Jimpster dons his Franc Spangler cap and joins forces with up and coming London-based producer and DJ Hudson’s Choice for a four track EP entitled Myatts Field. Touching on trippy slo-mo electronic grooves, tropical moods and percussive house jams it brings a more experimental and left field sound to Delusions Of Grandeur which we’re sure you’re going to love!
Opening track AcidMan sets the tone of the EP with a bubbling 303 line taking centre stage while pitched down vocals add a hint of menace, heightening the psychedelic mood. Dubby FX and analogue synth lines drift in and out of focus and give a live jam feel to the arrangement reminding us of something that might grace the decks of A Love From Outer Space. Heavily Percussed continues offering up a crazy percussion tool loaded with wonky cross rhythms, glitchy found sounds and a hypnotic synth sequence for good measure.
Flip over for Myatts Field, another slower tempo mutant discoid house groove which takes us on a deep trip into the jungle. Echoing sax and hazy vocals transport us to another world where Weather Report experimented with rolling four on the floor grooves and spacious dub.
Closing out the EP Roots picks up the pace with another percussion-heavy slice of tropical sounds which doffs a cap to masters such as Gregory and Osunlade. Steel pan melodic lines intersperse with chiming synth sequences making for an unusual yet hooky club track which will lock the dancers into its incessant groove. More

Ohm Hourani - Blinded Feat. Do Mi
The Anoma tree grows another branch, carrying a pair of succulent offerings written and produced by Ohm Hourani.
“Mi Chica” on Side A dazzles with an organic drum structure that pulls you front and centre, and isn’t afraid to toss a couple of licks in if you’re not ready for it. Marked by its influential lyrics, this tune is the first step on a guide to an auspicious journey.
The jungle groove on Side B’s “Blinded” marries a citizen of jazz with the bluesy sensuality of Montreal-based singer Do Mi. An unforgettable voice that resonates in the field of thought. And where thought ends, music begins.

Bosquemar & Fuyen - Cirros
The new EP by Bosquemar and Fuyen is a celebration of the spirits of Altacura, the high stone of Concepcion (Chile), where the 'Musique Concrete' approach and electronic productions by Bosquemar join the Latin American vocals and instruments by Fuyen aka Rayen Garcia and Eduardo Aedo.
Using mostly sounds recorded at Altacura itself, the EP transforms the energies of its spirits into three psychedelic downbeat tableaus featuring rich sound design, driving percussions, conjuring vocals, and gritty basses:
'Allkun', which means "hear" in Mapudungun language, is a tribute to the voices of the birds that inhabit this area.
In 'Tierra Santa' guest vocalist Natalia Clavier joins the trio for a psychedelic dance around the rock.
On the flipside, Argentinian producer Uji increases the tempo of 'Allkun', and turns the original into a dry and percussive club version.
'Cirros' is the perfect tune for a beach club sunset, taking us up to the most recondite skies where we dance the day away with the Altacura spirits. More

Hotmood - To The Beat Y'all
Mexican DJ and producer Hotmood indeed brings the heat on his new EP for the Blur Records gang. It is a fine fusion of disco and house music with rich instrumentals, nice organic sound and plenty of smart samples. Opener 'Disco Power' is a funky and upbeat cut with a powerful bassline and big vocal stabs. Things get more deep and laidback with 'Malandro' which has big sax energy and sunny chords then 'To The Beat Y'all' rounds out the EP with real disco energy. The drums hit hard, big guitar riffs brighten up the mix and subtle filters and FX also pump things to the next level.

Dennis Cruz & Ian Ludvig - - Pain Away
Dennis Cruz delivers the landmark 300th release on Damian Lazarus’ iconic Crosstown Rebels imprint with ‘The Snake Charmer’ EP, featuring collaborations with Ian Ludvig and the label boss himself. An artist at the height of his powers, arriving o? the back of his busiest Ibiza season to date, it’s safe to say that Dennis Cruz is a man in extremely high demand within the global electronic landscape. Founder of his own labels MÜSE and CRZ, while featuring as a key member of the Solid Grooves Family, Cruz’s longstanding ties to Crosstown Rebels date back to his debut in 2018. Returning to the imprint following his excellent album ‘Roots’ in 2021, plus his recent contribution to the 20th Anniversary compilation with his remix of Pier Bucci’s ‘Hay Consuelo’, Cruz is back in emphatic fashion as he marks the 300th release in the label’s revered catalogue with his latest EP ‘The Snake Charmer’ - featuring two solo tracks alongside collaborations with fellow Crosstown signee Ian Ludvig and label founder Damian Lazarus himself. A master of crafting rolling arrangements with subtle nuances that keep dancefloors locked in unison, the four tracks across the package see Cruz experiment even further as he showcases a global array of influences. Opening track ‘Snake Charmer’ welcomes a crisp organic percussion arrangement accented by eastern flutes through to snaking grooves and hooky female vocal samples throughout, while ‘Revolution’ welcomes an all-star cast as he links with Damian Lazarus for a heady, skippy slice of house merging hazy chords and bright stabs with vocals from contemporary Detroit nightlife icon and staple DJ Holographic. On the flip, the Spaniard once again steps out solo and dives deep into a low-slung and playful groove on ‘Time Out’, introducing a wealth of vibrant vocals amongst blossoming melodies and soulful organ ri?s, before closing the show as he joins Ian Ludvig to present an o?-kilter, impactful and warping closer guided by provocative vocal snippets across ‘Pain Away’.

This vinyl only label is already hot property and now its 17th release marks another one that is likely to fly off the shelves. Rhythm Plate is in the hot seat with this new EP 'Codependency' featuring remixes from YSE aka Saint Laur'Ant. It's 'Hold On' which is first up and brings lots of lavish disco energy with rich vocals that take you to somewhere like Paradise Garage. The first remix is laden with more effects and more sensuous chord work then 'Why Did You Leave' is a more tropical viber which gets remixed into a fine dub.

The MUSHROOM HOUSE compilation is a collection of balearic, afro and cosmic tracks that have been released on Toy Tonics EPs over the last 5 years. Original tracks and remixes by friends of the label: Auntie Flo, Rebolledo, Hyenah, Daniel Avery, WhoMadeWho & DJ Koze, Munk … and there is also legendary italian cosmic DJ Baldelli featured.
All these tracks are exclusively produced for Toy Tonics. A few had been already released before on Gomma records. The now sleeping indie-electronica label that was the „mother“ of Toy Tonics. It’s fun to see that these tracks seem not to get old. They sound still fresh and ace. Like the DJ Koze remix of WhoMadeWho or Munk’s Nigerian Jam. Now they all come together on double vinyl. Vinyl comes Including the new 60 page TOY TONICS MAGAZINE no 1.
