"Pulso de la Madera" comes as the definitive official reissue of the first album by the legendary band, along with previously unreleased remastered material, on a double LP with extensive liner notes and previously unseen pictures of the band. Essential to revisit the work of a band that inspired fourth world and organic ambient as we know it today; these tunes sound immersive and still contemporary.

On their short but influential career, Finis Africae proposed an informal and decentralized model of creativity that was decades ahead of current practices linked to technological advances; they explored unknown worlds and imagined landscapes of the “fourth world” apart from their present; they neither affirmed nor denied any of the labels they were to assign to them (“New Age”, “ethnic music”, “world music”, etc.); they recreated, used, and nourished foreign cultures without fear.

And most importantly - they shaped a sound “finis”. Your own space. Where there were no rules. A dimension in which the collective was submerged in long sessions of improvisation; where they could be goblins and magical entities; a place where they could imagine scales and structures unreal; where they could play any instrument in the known world; where they could tour the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Middle East in a blink of an eye; where they could be themselves without caring about anything that happened outside.

The unreleased tracks come as a careful selection of a deep-dive over hundred tracks and demos, compiled by Urba and Glossy Mario. The license comes from Juan Alberto Arteche's family. More

Tokyo. 1981. A couple of fashion designers decide to go for it and start recording music with a third musician. Their debut album, Dance, is an influential synth pop and wave album twisting the boundaries of the genres. Earthling consisted of the couple: lead vocalist/guitarist John, bass guitarist Yoko Fujiwara, plus keyboard/sythesizer player Jin Haijama. The group was formed in Tokyo in 1979 when John and Yoko, previously fashion and textile designers, felt the desire to give the music they'd written a more permanent environment. They recruited Jim, who was working in an amusement park, and evolved a musical form which pulsed with a steady beat, yet was tempered by hypnotic vocal chanting. The sound of Earthling reinforces the subtle and sensitive connections which link modern music to dance to, with hints of synth-pop, new wave and heavy punk vocals tainted by drum machines. While the group uses a rhythm-machine to epitomize the sustained beat of Tokyo in the early 80s, the emotional vocal impact of songs like ''Heavy Feeling in My mind'' and ''The Guard of Sensitivity'' add an urgent, street-wise dimension to their precise instrumental presentation. Earthling are sound pioneers, painting future dreams that transcend the present day. Their music crossed borders also internationally: "You go on Natural" became a well-known banger in the late 80s in La Ruta Destroy in Valencia, championed by local djs back then. This sought-after gem opens with the beautiful version of Burnier & Cartier’s ‘Só Tem Lugar Prá Você’ (one of the two B&C versions included on this album, with a pitched-down ‘Europanema’ sparkling on the B side), building up a mellow, airy vibe that stays throughout the entire album.

JUSTICE, The French duo formed by Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, is the band of a whole generation. When the two friends were still bright students in graphic design, in 2003 they made JUSTICE a place to experiment a hybrid genre between music and image, which blends pop and electronic borders, and showcases the talents of 2 fascinating passionate pop culture craftsmen, bored with hierarchy. They met Pedro Winter who had just founded his label ED BANGER RECORDS, he immediately signs them after listening to "We Are Your Friends" which, with its joyful and vitamin-enriched electro beats combined with exhilarating voices, became the hymn of a whole generation and one of the most important tracks of the year 2000, celebrating a reconciliation of pop music and the dancefloor. It was awarded an MTV Video Award in 2007, bringing about the famous live TV appearance with Kanye West outraged that his million $ clip was outclassed by a home-made bomb. (Once the misunderstanding was cleared up, Justice, Ed Banger and So_Me became a constant source of inspiration for Kanye and his superstar rappers colleagues. Kanye even employed So-Me as director for the video for his hit song "Good Life"), Jay Z will use D.A.N.C.E for his next album. From now on, the duo's ascent was constant and then lightning struck: remixes for N.E.R.D, Britney Spears, Franz Ferdinand, U2, Daft Punk, Lenny Kravitz and an EP in 2006 (" Waters Of Nazareth ") defining the "Justice sound", this famous ultra-powerful compression of pop and baroque melodies, both dark and threatening; lightning and animative; and above all the famous Justice image, the cross from which an earlier version figures on the first EP. 2007 was the explosion that will turn the duo into the emblem of a whole generation: their first album "†", anticipated like the Messiah, holds all the promises, and swept everything away as an epic soundtrack. "†" is more than a magnificent synthesis of our time: its potential definition. 800 000 sales worldwide and 4 years later, the album is considered as a mainstay of the 2000s puzzled and tonic, one of the few who bridged the gap from Pitchfork world to MTV without losing its credibility.

Little Beat More is proud to present you a two-track EP by Turist, a Vienna based psychedelic Dembow project, founded to combine the energy of a live band with the tightness of an overdub session. ?Turist made it their mission to revive handmade music from the 60's and 70's aiming for the dancefloors of today!
The two tracks demonstrate how they interlace heavy basslines, colorfully echoing guitars and driving drums, drawing inspirations spanning from Ghanian highlife to Peruvian cumbia.
“Skeet”, on Side A, is the band’s manifesto with their special blend of Caribbean dance rhythms and Californian surf music psychedelia. Side B's "Ez Up" is a straightforward champeta song, the Afro-Colombian style that fuses sweet soukous guitar lines with uplifting soca rhythms, making you want to immediately look for the nearest Pico Soundsystem.
Set off on a rhythmic journey following Turist in their musical nomadism with us!
