Steve Bug & Cle - Suitcase In A Box
Electronic music pioneer and Poker Flat boss Steve Bug is a name that needs little introduction, as one of Germany’s true house masters he has consistently pushed musical boundaries to become a taste maker and trend-setter of a generation. Joining forces once more with regular collaborator Clé for their joint Nu Groove debut, the pair who have been behind a vast number of elite club cuts now deliver ‘Let It Go / Suitcase In A Box’ for an imprint steeped in house history. Opening with ‘Let It Go’, ethereal strings and an enriched, buttery vocal are paired with a wickedly deep bassline and acidic synths for a track that sounds like it was ripped straight from a 90s NYC dancefloor, while the accompanying Bassmix offers a headsier, dub-like alternative. ‘Suitcase In A Box’ is a little tougher in its composition, as Steve Bug & Clé’s patented old-school drums and another hefty dose of acid influence are layered upon a relentless beat for a track destined for in-the-know fl

The Berlin-based partnership of long-time friends Steve Bug and Clé has reared many a classy deep house tune in its time… Their classic 'Silicon Ballet' EP from 2007 led us heavily into their sound, combining melodic, blissful elements with the heavy vibes of the old-school acid days. Now we're due another full EP with 'Seven Hills.'
The title track is a refined, long-playing stormer - perfect for the coming months as the summer weather stirs up open-air fever! From humble beginnings a riotous, epic track grows fusing the Poker Flat boys' patented analog production and natural ear for a melody. Heartfelt strings draw the track to its finale as a teasing breakdown arrives around the 6 minute mark. This is a real slow-burner in the best sense of the phrase.
The more urgent 'Monkeyshoulder' drives a deep blazing night-time vibe all the way home. Smooth, filtering chords and spacey stabs swirl in a magical futuristic-yet-classic house jam. Simply deadly in the right moment, this bright and dynamic production really does justice to the pair's talents.

Dear music-lovers, please welcome a so-called dream team: Steve Bug & Clé! Steve Bug‘s imprints Poker Flat, Dessous and Audiomatique are essential in today’s music circuit and from time to time and in between his crazy gig schedule, he mixes famous compilations like Fuse in April this year and the forthcoming Fabric in November. Busy times indeed. Clé is already best known as one half of our one-of-a- kind duo the Märtini Brös, who have been releasing on Poker Flat since the early days and are an inherent part of the Poker Flat family.Mr. Poker Flat and Mr. 50% Märtini Brös recently stuck their heads together and produced an EP for us. „Iron Daily“ on the a-side, is a track that perfectly combines the skills of the two. The result is an interesting mixture of funktional dancefloor thunder and stripped- down old-school influences. The b-side holds „Behind The Curtains“, a fantastic opener for advanced clubbers. A metronome, a single hihat, short bass drops and some warm and epic chords begin this brilliant track, snippets of handclaps, kicks and a fleetfooted hihats guide the track for four minutes to its final starting point to get the party started. Not to miss.

Stefan Braatz - One More Dream
Berlin underground authority Stefan Braatz returns to Nu Groove with a four-track EP showcasing his timeless sound – Outlaw. An established club DJ and producer who has donned many hats in his 30-year career, Stefan Braatz is known for his expansive knowledge that defies genre convention, with his previous Nu Groove collaboration ‘Everyman Jack’ featuring Chicago legends Virgo Four combining his respect for the old school with new school techniques. Opening the EP is the eponymous track ‘Outlaw’, featuring vocals from Chicago house pioneer Harry Dennis – a contemporary of Ron Hardy, the late Frankie Knuckles and a member of Jungle Wonz alongside Marshall Jefferson. As Braatz’s relentless synth energy powers through, Dennis’s unmistakeable free flow guides the composition with ease. What follows are three solo tracks that summarise the Berlin expert’s opposition to the genre restraints; ‘Conversation’ opens a dialogue between synth strings and piano that loops in ecstasy, while ‘Dingy Thoughts’ and ‘One More Dream’ are darker club cuts that bubble with intensity in the lower registers.

Jovonn - Drop That Traxx
Pioneering NYC house label Nu Groove Records is proud to unveil a four-track EP of originals from fellow NYC house legend Jovonn.
After nearly three decades without a release, the cult house label relaunched in 2021 spearheaded by none other than Jovonn with ‘Random / Get Over It’. Following his ‘Funn Houze EP’ released earlier in 2023, the Brooklyn native is back with his ‘Blaque Katt EP’, a masterful display of innate musicality combined with an affinity for roaring '90s-inspired club music.
For the lead, ‘The Piano Fix’, Jovonn creates a dichotomy between the delicate nature instrument and the heavy, sweaty feel of the dancefloor. This is followed by a harder pianistic technique in both ‘The Piano Fix Returns’ and ‘Let Me Tell You Somethin’, showcasing the producer’s flair for harmony and melody.
Closing the immersive collection is ‘Drop That Traxx’, a playful track featuring addictive, syncopated hooks over a pounding four-on-the-floor beat. Throughout the EP, Jovonn displays his talent for gritty, hard music made with tender care. More

Mike Dunn - Let'cha Love Fall Down (On Me)
An artist who needs no introduction, Mike Dunn returns to the legendary NYC label Nu Groove with a four-track vinyl release that brings together disparate influences from the master’s encyclopaedic knowledge of genre and style.
What results are productions that are at once timeless, a quality that can only be achieved through the lived experiences of a four-decade career. Title track ‘Git’cha House On, Baby’ is a late 80s freestyle throwback, with hard synth lines running the show, while ‘Don’t Pay Me No Mind’ is a metropolitan anthem led by a solid piano groove.
Additionally, the vinyl features two tracks from Dunn’s ‘Rock Ya Body (Deepa)’; the lead, an effortlessly cool deliverance of pure, unadulterated house, and ‘Let’cha Love Fall Down On Me’ which swells and flows with addictive ease. Elevating all four compositions are the producer’s signature vocals, immediately arresting and suitable for all genres. Dunn’s status as an innovator was earned through creating and influencing the scenes we know and love today, and this new delivery of originals further cements his status as a 100% house master. More

Stefan Braatz & Virgo Four / Rheji Burre - Gimme Ya Luv
Nu Groove delivers another sublime 12” with Stefan Braatz & Virgo Four and Rheji Burrell in the hot seat. Kicking off the A-Side with ‘Everyman Jack’, a melting pot of Stefan Braatz & Virgo Four’s disparate influences, European techno toughness merges with warm house rhythms on the original, while the stripped-back Rough Dub takes a more minimal approach for the deepest recesses of the dancefloor. On the flip, Nu Groove OG Rheji Burrell opens with ‘XTC’, unmistakably Burrell in its composition with an irresistible 4/4 groove and R&B style vocal. The sunshine soundscapes and sugar-sweet keys of ‘Gimme Ya Luv’ close out the EP, with all the nostalgia and lovesickness of a 90’s NY classic.

Jovonn - Let The World Dance
The first to release on the relaunched Nu Groove in 2021, NYC pioneer Jovonn is an artist whose musical philosophies align intrinsically with the beloved label. Now he returns to the imprint with a four track EP that continues to demonstrate his innate musicality and deep seeded roots in club culture. From the deep, minimalistic grooves of opening track ‘RAISE UP (Raise Up High)’ and driving melodies of ‘Sunday Ride’, to the chunkier ‘WHAT’ and the big room bass and plunging sub of closing cut ‘Let The World Dance’, this is another unmissable package from the rebirthed Nu Groove, from a true house master.

Tuccillo - Let's Do It
Pioneering NYC house label Nu Groove returns with an EP from Italian Ibiza favourite Tuccillo, ‘Sunshine City’. Known for manual mixing and modulating loops from hardware, Tuccillo has refined his timeless and deep signature sound over the last 20 years. Throughout the title track, the hard beat of the city is juxtaposed with breathy pads evoking the sun’s rays streaming against the concrete. ‘It’s Not Over’ is equally as bold; syncopated synth stabs are accompanied by soulful yet distorted vocals, achieving a blur of sonic textures over the consistent bassline. ‘Let’s Do It’ features a wetter percussive sound over a deeper and more sonorous bassline, whilst ‘I Believe’ (featuring vocals from Howard Perry) sets up a chunky beat before peeling away thick sonic layers to reveal rhythmic complexities with ease.

INFO:
Adding his first EP to the label’s catalogue, Figure warmly welcomes Vinicius Honorio onto the roster.
Having first made his mark in the DnB-world as BTK, the vetted Brazilian producer now has been conquering the global techno scene for some years as well. His darkly foreboding sound is on full display across this 12“, featuring three clean-cut, impactful original productions and a remix by Len Faki’s Hardspace moniker.
Endless Love comes punching strong, carried by colleague Theo Nasa’s ominous spoken words and evolving stab synths textures. The remix strips back the vocals in favor of reduced frequencies, keeping the heat condensed and always ready to boil over.
On the flip, Honorio introduces his rolling high-energy machine funk, stacking elements around a hypnotic vocal loop and expertly playing the game of build and release. Closer B2 showcases a different style, using subdued dubby chords to craft a dreamy ride that is at once powerful and deep.

Info:
The first LP is always a reason to celebrate, and also grounds for elated expectation (for more, of course): and now, respect is in order because here is the double premier. The first LP from Marek Hemmann, the multifaceted electro-tinkerer near side of the Saale River, and as well the first CD-Long player from the house of FAT!
We know Marek Hemmann is solo as well as half of the congenial duo Hemmann & Kaden, who for years have been the pillars of the new house & techno scene, both as producer and live act. The complete releases are in the meantime around a dozen; the innumerable remix business for colleagues from Trentemøller to Monika Kruse can it be counted. After the most recent EP, the floor storming Gemini, it was clear that the time is now to get a load of the night fulfilling complete artwork. On to the in between.
What Mr. Hemmann offers here on technoid material, despite the stacked title, is but a small universe. Not quite a snack, but rather right in the middle we find ourselves standing in an eclectic house-world, which in every corner offers a new discovery. From classic deep-droning dub epos over the ëfrizzed-upí house with Bossa shots and demanding horn action up to highly complex sample tone-art. Yes, it is a long trip through techno-land; one in which Marek takes us along, and one which it must be said, is quite wonderful. In the best way. With a round of wholly comprehensive melancholy, it comes over us like a sunrise through the broken club doors after a completely danced-through night. That happens often enough, but for the swinging beauty and manually-labored final touch, flashes forth Mr. Hemmann’s golden hands, bringing back the hypnotic bass lines. The humming monotony lives, as does the subconscious when it says to us: Stay! Move your ass! And look, what beauteous northern melodies there on the horizon. Then the sun arises. Blazing through those same - broken club doors...
Thank you Mr. Hemmann! More

axel boman - Nokturn
2023 repress
Tracklist:
A. 1979 B. Nokturn (Grand Finale)
Shortinfo:
Pampa's favourite Barnhus boy returns to the label fold, and his previous episode is no easy act to follow: 2010 was the year, Holy Love was the name, and "Purple Drank" the undeniable track of the year; it captured the dancefloor zeitgeist with its sultry tempo, and created an classic with its instantly recognizable vocal. While he last left us falling down the rabbit hole, Axel Boman's newest concern is upward, forward, accelerated motion. "1979" cool-toned and pensive take on classic downtempo deep house. It holds on to the necessary bare banes of percussion, but surrounds it with light touches and a soothing pastoral feel. Time is taken and moments have room to breathe, in this meditative exploration of gently shifting moods. "Nokturn (Grand Finale)" is carnivalesque in the grandest sense, with endless movement via its dominant percussion pattern. Its looping background is perpetually primed for take off, building in intensity as the Latin rhythms preoccupy the shoulders and hips. A double bass phrase minimalist bass loop takes care of the low end groove, and together with glimpses of vintage disco sounds, creates another surefire hit.

Robag Wruhme - Venq Tolep (Hit Club Version) 06:24
2023 Repress
Tracklist:
A. Nata Alma (Club Smash Hit Version) 08:40
AA Venq Tolep (Hit Club Version) 06:24
Release Info:
Robag Wruhme, working on the material. On the very same piece. And performing two different movements. First, thinking in category Album: who will hear it where? also: mood, position, length. Second, thinking in category Maxisingle: a spinning-tool for the club – another form of another functionality: accelerating the rhythm, lowering the harmonicmelodious, still preserving the nature of the song. And each version should make you HOT for the other!
Nata Alma, a voice loses itself in the infinite, a car brakes, a horse whinnies, the sun scorches relentless. Further, further on, towards the flickering, stoically. Water, flames on the horizon, Fata Morgana, a mirage. »And you might say, we've got no place to go?« - okay? no notokay at all!: Shuffle!
Nata Alma, melancholic Eight-minute-forty. A love song, a wave good-bye: »And you might say, that you need me no more?« sings Sidsel Endresen alongside Bugge Wesseltoft's swells and ebb-aways – metal never sounded so longing; a buzzing swing, a siren call from afar.
Robag Wruhme takes a seat at the organ and plays minor bass notes. He gets up, leaves the room and lays down a dry rock of funk: wooden kick on wooden snare, tight-cut voices, driving hi-hats and shakers, gated synth danglers and percussion loops. Relentless, stoically. »And you might say, that it's over?« – relentless, maybe, but that's how he creates the Further: keep going! dance it off! a new day rising!
And right here. Flip it and keep on moving: Venq Tolep. A summer meadow, grass-stains, a gentle breeze, an early smell of hay. Venq Tolep. Endorphins tickle under the skin. A
percussive spectacle, dance of the insects. Hopping around in flat shoes, the beat is phat and reverberated by a cluster of trees. Stabs on the e-piano set in, picturing the euphoric moment when Loving-feelings walk hand-in-hand with a Hint of Melancholy.
Robag Wruhme, Nata Alma and Venq Tolep - music for dance floors, inside and outside, music for the summer, day and night, and for convertibles on the way there.

NO MORE - In A White Room
Format: 7" / 1000 copies, purple vinyl, additional stamp on label
Tracklist
A1: Suicide Commando
B1: In A White Room
File under: PostPunk / Wave
Release Info:
The year is 1981. The Kiel-based PostPunk / Wave underground outfit NO MORE releases their second ever single „Suicide Commando“ and their world changes forever. Well, not only their world – THE world.
What began as an independently published 7“ single became a cult classic, a genre defining – and defying – song, an all-time dancefloor favorite of many, a timeless signature piece that escaped its original realm of PostPunk x Wave x Indie x Alternative to also become engrained
in the DNA of modern electronic dancefloor culture most prominently in the beloved late 90s permutation presented by DJ Hell which became a classic in its own right.
Now the year is 2021. Four decades have passed and NO MORE's „Suicide Commando“ is back once again - well... the song actually never left! -, this time harking back to the very beginning, the original vibe and the original format.
Remastered and re-released with the original tracklisting and paying homage to the original artwork „Suicide Commando“ will be available in 7“ format for the first time since 1981.
And staying true to the underground blueprint this 40th anniversary re-release edition once again is put out on the circuit through a small independent label: the Intrauterin Recordings offspring El Caballo Semental which also released NO MORE's „123456789 *baze.djunkiii
& Herr Brandt Dream A NuDream Remix“ as a limited to 200 copies one-sided, colored whitelabel 7“ edition in 2019.

wAFF - Next Game
wAFF makes a triumphant return to Hot Creations after a seven-year hiatus with his three-track, groove-driven ‘Slapfunk EP’. Since his first outing back in 2012, wAFF has been an integral part of the Hot Creations family, remixing various releases and dropping a total of four EPs - the last being ‘Sick Pleasure’ in 2016, which still stands today as a highlight in the label’s extensive catalogue. Marking a long-awaited return to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ beloved imprint after seven years, with material via renowned labels such as Solid Grooves, Cocoon, Desolat and his very own NATURE imprint over that period further establishing him as a leading name, he arrives fresh from his third Paradise show of the season ready to ignite dancefloors with a trio of irresistible beats on ‘Slapfunk’. Title track ‘Slapfunk’ opens the release with shifting stabs, warping bass patterns and fizzing lead synths, steadily progressing into a menacing club-focused workout. Continuing his signature style, ‘Questions’ showcases a blend of pulsating beats synchronised with a warped vocal topline that enhances the allure. Finally, ‘Next Game’ delivers a punchy trip loaded with subtle minimal-leaning influences, combining chopped vocal snippets with slick, stripped-back percussion.

WhoMadeWho & Artbat - Montserrat (Artbat Edit)
2
WhoMadeWho & Artbat - Closer feat. WhoMadeWho
Repress WG standard sleeve
Tracklist
A) WhoMadeWho – Montserrat (Artbat Edit)
B) WhoMadeWho – Closer feat. WhoMadeWho
Coming in hot with the first of three EP’s from WhoMadeWho’s Watergate 26 is two of the standout tracks from the mix. Both tracks come from WhoMadeWho and Artbat, yet with a unique twist each one sees the collaborators exchange creative roles.
Kicking things off Artbat’s edit of WhoMadeWho’s ‘Monsterrat’ is as deep and hypnotic as it is soulful and energetic as traces of Rock harmonize with low slung House and shimmers of Disco resulting in an eternal dance floor weapon.
Flipping sides WhoMadeWho features on Artbat’s ‘Closer’ where we witness the two outfits concoct a dramatic, emotional ride into celestial spaces where sweltering vocals balance delicately on massive bursts of low end and dreamy progressions creating an incredibly tense yet captivating outcome. Indulge in these two timeless cuts until we bring you more soon from the stellar WhoMadeWho Watergate 26. Enjoy!

Jan Swam - Events That Led To My Dissapearance
2
Pyramid Of Knowledge - One Day
3
Digitalis - Digitekno (1997 Unreleased)
4
Tadan - Moon Tek
In the third release of Organic Signs, we embark on a direct journey to the musical heart of Refractor: the annual gathering held in a forest on the outskirts of Madrid to celebrate dancing under the sun and stars for 24 uninterrupted hours.
With four tracks that encapsulate the sound of different mental states you may experience firsthand on this expedition, we begin with label manager Jan Swam's track. He introduces us to ancestral sounds featuring a flute played by himself, gradually accompanied by a penetrating bassline and synth, along with various elements spread across the stereo field. All of this leads to an unexpected finale. Next, we delve into the track by French artist based in Seoul, Pyramid Of Knowledge aka K.O.P. 32, who has crafted a perfect progression of sounds to immerse us in a trance towards the depths of the subconscious. The intensity builds up gradually until reaching its peak in the final moments.
On the other side, we welcome back our beloved Digitalis, responsible for the label's first release. This time, he presents a lost gem from '97 never before released, transporting us directly to the UK rave scene. Get ready to feel the unleashed pulse of the English artist who left an indelible mark on psychedelic music. Finally, we venture into the last chapter where Tadan pilots an interdimensional ship towards the hidden face of a moon that orbits a planet beyond the solar system. Close your eyes to appreciate the depth of the atmospheres and textures, intertwined with a constant rhythmic line that will guide us to the final moments of the record. More

Nachthorn takes its name from one of the 78 stops that make up the main organ in St. Antonius Church in Düsseldorf. This instrument, equipped with a system developed by the German company Sinua, offers the possibility of controlling all of its keyboards and timbres via a computer. The organ thus becomes a powerful synthesiser. This set-up allowed me to fulfil an old dream of mine : to create an entirely acoustic dance music piece with the organ as sole actor. Oscillating between dub techno, harmonic locked grooves or after-hours pop, Nachhorn proposes a hypnotic music piece whose lines sketch the outline of an imaginary warehouse.
Credits:
Composed and programmed for midi-controlled organ by Maxime Denuc.
Recorded on 5 and 6 May 2021 at St. Antonius Kirche, Düsseldorf-Oberkassel, by Harry Charlier.
Mixed by Raphaël Hénard at La Savonnerie, Brussels.
Mastered and cut by Frédéric Alstadt at Mont Analogue, Bever.
Artwork by Jonathan Martin.
Produced by Thomas Van de Velde for Vlek Records, supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Thanks to Markus Hinz, Benedikt Aufterbeck & Thomas Stöckl from Sinua, Daniel Bleikolm, Cindy Castillo, Marc Jacobs, Celine Sourbié, Fred Aerden, Fanny Calès, Haleh Zahedi and Josquin Denuc. More
