timmy thomas - Why Can't We Live Together (LNTG No More War rework)
Official re issue of this timeless classic featuring a fantastic update from Australia's Late Nite Tuff Guy - Tuff Cut Records. Their version has already had 62,000 plays on Soundcloud.
In LNTG own words of how their "No More War Rework" came around :
About 6 months ago, just before I set off on my 5 month tour of Europe I got a message from a good friend of mine asking me if I would edit a track that he loves.
I said of course, and asked him what track.
Turns out its a big favourite of mine also.
'Why Can't We Live Together' by Timmy Thomas is an amazing song with a strong message that is even more relevant today than it was back in 1972.
The message is clear, it's simple, it's beautiful.
I'm saddened by recent events around the world and I've always tried to spread love through music, because for me, music is love.
I hope you share the message and enjoy.

2
Timmy Thomas - Why Can't We Live Together (1981 Bootleg)
“Why Can’t We Live Together” is a song written and recorded by Timmy Thomas in 1972. A chart hit in the following year, it was included on the album Why Can’t We Live Together. It was one of the first major hits to feature the use of a rhythm machine! From his organ! Very apt for our times, this song simply gives a heartfelt antiwar message. The track has been re-recorded by the likes of Sade, MC Hammer, Santana and Steve Winwood over the years but it’s the original that has the magic of it’s creator!
Ben Liebrand ups the bpm’s for his mix. He creates a percussive jam that pumps with pure emotion. Absolute club class.
Included on this release is Ben’s (now admittedly taking ownership after 43 years) 1981 Bootleg which chugs with soul and funk goodness. More

Presenting a collection of deep spatial gems mined from the ever impressive TK Disco vaults for your playback listening pleasure!
The TK Disco music empire has blessed our ears and minds with an endless stream of music since it's late 1960's inception. Countless soul and funk sides were produced, cut and released by label founder Henry Stone and his associates, in turn changing the face of contemporary black music in the USA and across the world forever. It is true that the TK story originated on America's 'Space Coast', the modern frontier of lunar exploration and galactic travel, the home of NASA and countless missions beyond the stars nestled on the East Coast of the United States.
'Moon Ride' - The compilation you hold in your hands, is merely one strand of the incredible music that was beamed out of Hialeah, FL over the decades. The focus on this collection is the idea of the 'cosmic' from the Disco era. These are records that emit a spacey vibe, either from their lyrical content or equally from their sonic qualities, imbibing synths and electronics to create otherworldly grooves. These records were big hits on underground music scenes such as Daniele Baldelli's cosmic movement in the 70's and 80's in Lake Garda, they were vehicles of escapism and hedonism on the discerning dancefloors of NYC in the hands of progressive DJs like David Mancuso and Nicky Siano and they were also essential building blocks in the creation of House and Techno music in the Midwestern cities of Chicago and Detroit, inspiring legendary artists such as Mr Fingers and Jeff Mills and countless others. An essential collection of music for listening, dancing, loving and travelling!
TK Disco's influence is still felt today and this carefully curated selection of tracks showcases some absolute classics, overlooked nuggets and rarities from the label's huge output. Mastered with love by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK. More

Presenting a collection of stone-cold classic breakbeats and b-boy jams from the sunkissed vaults of Miami's legendary TK Disco label! NYC in the late 70's and early 80's saw a nascent street subculture fully evolve, a movement with it's own language, art, aesthetics, dances, fashion and way of living. What would become what is now globally known as 'hip-hop' was in its infancy, with it's own legends and history being forged on an almost daily basis across the city's Black and Hispanic neighbourhoods. Music was central to hip-hop, the DJ was king and at the hands of people like Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Flowers, Mean Gene, Jazzy Jay, Afrika Bambaataa, Charlie Chase and numerous other groundbreaking DJ's of the era, music took on a whole new meaning that would reverberate through popular culture for the rest of time. Collected here are some of those most infamous breakbeats, all from the TK vaults. These records were studied by these young DJ's, coveted, covered up, hunted down, whispered about in darkened corners by those who needed and obsessed over the freshest of beats. There's a good chance you will have heard these records in some form or another as they have been covered, sampled, recreated and spun in clubs across the galaxy for over 4 decades. These are the very building blocks upon which popular culture and club music have been built, and here they are all in one place for your listening enjoyment! TRACK LISTING: A1. Miami - Chicken Yellow, A2. The Sunshine Band - Black Water Gold, A3. Freedom - Get Up And Dance, B1. Joe Thomas - Polarizer, B2. Herman Kelly & Life - Dance To The Drummer's Beat, C1. ted taylor - No Title
Legit Reissue of Ted Taylor's long sought after "Ghetto Disco" 12" excavated from the deepest realms of the TK Disco vaults! Funky, rough round the edges in the best way, tough ghetto Disco grooves here from 1977, delivered by the mighty Ted Taylor who was originally a blues singer from Oklahoma. Pairing Taylor's soul-steeped voice with the sunshine-state production values of the legendary Wardell Quezergue ('Mr big stuff', 'Groove me' & more!), this one's a dance-floor sure-shot. Never has a track been more aptly named. This is a proper underground jam, one that, until now, was the preserve of the heads, diggers and Disco freaks. The eagle eared out there among you might recognise it from a certain underground hip-hop cut, answers on a postcard please! Pure Disco heat from Miami, yet again. A bonafideTK Disco classic! Remastered, represented and brought back into focus for 2018's DJ bags and dance-floors! As usual, these TK represses are always done in the proper manner. 100% legit from the archive, remastered and released in conjunction with Henry Stone Music / TK Disco - Miami FL.

Herman Kelly - - Life A Refreshing Love
3 overlooked jams on one 12" single, excavated from the deepest realms of the TK Disco vaults. Remastered, represented and brought back into focus for 2017's DJ bags and dance-floors. Side A sees Wizzdom's 1980 boogie jam 'Free bass' kicking off proceedings. A P-funk-ish, low slung jam indeed, it has everything you'd want including some Furious Five esque shouts of 'Free-Bass!' weaving in and out of the mix. This one is a true heads cut, one for the diggers! Over on side B we get Jimmy 'Bo' Horne's slamming 'Is it in?' - a stomping piece of Disco-funk that in the right hands will cause maximum damage. Also, Jimmy's mildly double-entendre lyrics are hugely entertaining! Following up we have a cut from Herman Kelly & Life, 'A refreshing love' was an LP only release and is some serious downtempo Latin tinged soul super soaked in Miami sunshine! All in all, 3 majorly overlooked gems nestled away in the TK archive now brought back into the light. As usual, these TK represses are always done in the proper manner. 100% legit re-edits, from the archive, remastered and released in conjunction with Henry Stone Music / TK Disco - Miami FL.

Ralph Macdonald - - A Jam On The Groove (Danny Krivit Edit)
2
Foxy - - Get Off Your Aaahh And Dance (Danny Krivit Edit)
NYC Disco legend Danny Krivit returns to the editing block on behalf of seminal Miami Disco powerhouse TK Disco. With 45 years in the DJ game under his belt and having played endless gigs all over the world during that time it's safe to say Mr.K knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to the re-edit thing! With unprecedented access to TK's vaults Danny has been turning in some stellar reworkings as of late and the cuts included on this latest instalment keep the quality sky high! On the A-side Mr.K kicks off with a heavyweight edit of a stone cold b-boy / club classic! The legendary, late Ralph McDonald's (RIP) 'Jam on the groove' has long been a staple source of nourishment for hungry samplers and it's stripped back, calypso influenced percussion breakdowns have found themselves being cut up by numerous DJ's at clubs and block parties since it's original release in 1976. Here, Mr.K brings that killer breakdown right up front, rearranging the track in a way that gives us all the meat! This is a truly pared back edit, those with keen ears will recognise a wealth of samples that have been jacked from mr McDonald's drum-kit. This is one cut you can either hustle to or head-spin to! Hot, hot, hot.... The B-side see's Miami's FOXY and their 'Get off your aaah & dance' get the Mr.K editing block treatment. Kicking off with some tight drums with a heavy Latin influence this cut rolls along so smooth, giving way to a super funky pairing of guitars and flutes. FOXY are another group whose catalogue has been plundered by sample savvy producers over the years. This particular track is Disco heaven, beautifully produced and arranged, it flows along and will certainly cause some dance-floor tremors! A track for dancers, 100%, gracefully tweaked by Mr.K in just the right way! Essential business! File under - *Grown-up Disco

The Ritchie Family's sunny 1977 b-side 'Summer dance' is a roof raising soulful stormer of the highest degree! 100% Disco heat, a record that would have gotten numerous spins in the 'real' Disco clubs and dance-floors upon it's release. It has it all - soaring string arrangements, driving percussion breakdowns and of course, top shelf vocals from Cheryl, Cassandra and Gwendolin. With those super crisp drums upfront in the mix, punctuated by orchestral stabs this edit is perfect for the DJ's, and will be a welcome go-to cut in the booth! Don't snooze... Wild Honey were a soul trio from Texas, here their 1976 number "At the top of the stairs" - a deep vocal track - gets the Mr.K treatment with Danny editing the vocals out and giving us a rolling, string laden stomper. With a respectful, slight rearrangement he manages to bring a new slant on this already well loved underground Disco jam pushing it into the stratosphere! Pretty heavy stuff indeed, not for the faint hearted but for the dancers! This one is sure to ignite any club lucky enough to hear it bursting out of the speaker stack! Another essential edit! Of course, Danny Krivit's edits are always done in the proper manner, from the point of view of someone who has lived, breathed and played this music for the best part of 50 years. 100% legit re-edits, from Danny's personal collection, remastered and released in conjunction with Henry Stone Music / TK Disco - Miami FL.

jo bisso / amant - Hazy Shades Of Love (DK Edit)
NYC Disco legend Danny Krivit returns to the editing block on behalf of seminal Miami Disco powerhouse TK Disco. With 45 years in the DJ game under his belt and having played endless gigs all over the world during that time it's safe to say Mr.K knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to the re-edit thing! With unprecedented access to TK's vaults Danny has been turning in some stellar reworkings as of late and the cuts included on this latest instalment keep the quality sky high! Jo Bisso's unique Disco sound has long been popular with fans of underground dance music, his long percussive cuts have always done the business for DJ's who dig deeper for their sounds giving Bisso some cult "hits" under his belt. "Love somebody" was originally released in 1977 and clocked in at a staggering 16 minutes across 2 separate parts on the LP. Step in editing royalty Danny Krivit, who blesses us with yet another essential Disco weapon in the form of his punchier, stripped back edit of this monster cut. As usual with a Mr.K edit all the right parts have been left in, everything's been touched, reworked, extended and tweaked in just the right ways, the only way a master knows how! This one will work any dance-floor and will sound huge on a good system! Trust us, give it a spin! On the flip we have an extended Mr.K edit of Amant's "Hazy shades of love" lifted from their 1978 self titled LP on TK offshoot Marlin. Amant was another production pseudonym of Ray Martinez, the legendary artist, engineer, producer and remixer who worked with numerous artists including Mongo Santamaria, George McCrae, Quincy Jones and many more. The original version of the track clocked in at over 13 minutes in length and again Danny's edit has packed all the hot action into 9 minutes of Disco heat! 100% legit re-edits, remastered and released in conjunction with Henry Stone Music / TK Disco - Miami FL.

Manzo's new drop is a volume packed with four shamelessly pleasurable edits, a ray of sun shining brightly over the green pastures ready to bring summer vibes to every farm and ranch! Ici C'est Toujours Les Vacances opens with a wheel of french- roquefort-house that is all smiles and grooves. Then, Belgian Mambo slows down the beat, swaying into a mystic acid trip. We shake horns and cowbells like there's no tomorrow on the alluring beat of Sea Urchin before the final epic ride of Ferramenta nº20, an interstellar tractor that shoots you straight into a disco-infused outer space.

Can sound unlock the veiled secrets within ectoplasmic mysteries? Is it a portal to realms beyond our comprehension?
Unfortunately, the project met an untimely end. But fear not, for in the face of failure, there's still music to enjoy! More

Boulderhead - Adapting
Boulderhead debuts on Rhythm Section International with his most expansive EP to date:
“ I Need Space to Dance”
The Bristol based producer, known for his intricately crafted, up tempo club records has long been a favourite at RS HQ and has, over the years, garnered much respect from a plethora of influential DJs. His most recent hit “ Bread, Butter, Noodles, Spice”, was a festival earworm and one of the most played underground tracks of 2023.
Existing in the sweet spot between tech-house, prog, broken beat and minimal techno - this EP sees Boulderhead widen his sonic palette with a collection of songs that showcase his versatility.
Equally appealing to the Ricardo Villalobos contingent as it will be to those delving into the history of progressive house and the golden days of minimal techno - we think there’s a bit of something for everyone here.
Despite the many different bases the EP touches on - the sound pallette and production are unified and coherent. Henry is at the top of his game, and much like contemporary artists like Adam Pits, Priori and Russell EL Butler - his style screams ALBUM! More

Oceanvs Orientalis - Neutrality (Nick Curly Remix)
Oceanvs Orientalis teases his highly anticipated album 'Portrait of the Obscure’ on Crosstown Rebels with the third and penultimate single ‘Neurality’, remixed by 8Bit and Cecile head honcho Nick Curly. Istanbul-based Safak Oz Kutle, aka Oceanvs Orientalis, is a producer and live act who blends the rich sonic cultures of Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian and Arabic music to curate his take on electronic music. The first two singles from his forthcoming album on Damian Lazarus’ legendary Crosstown Rebels have showcased his diverse sound at its fullest, and now the third offering and final single ahead of the LPs release confirms him once again to be a standout talent as he unveils the captivating sonics of ‘Neurality’.
An absorbing and stirring production, ‘Neutrality’ brings a darkly involving groove that is multi-layered and hypnotic, with several shimmering vocals, jangling percussive lines and ethereal pads all locking you in for an enthralling ride. A remixer who needs little introduction, Nick Curly is as integral to the tech house genre as anyone in the scene, heading up key labels such as 8Bit and Cecile while helping to define the genre as we know it today. His interpretation is deep and warm, with slinky drums carefully deployed amongst vocal whispers that bring human soul. An excellent final preview into what’s still to come, ‘Neurality’ delivers another exceptional production, leading perfectly into the release of the full-length project this April. More
